Today I wrote the first half of a cover letter. The last cover letter I wrote was in 2005, an unsolicited petition for employment to the editor of Wenatchee's local newspaper. I don't think I ever mailed it, but for a while I was really considering staying in Eastern Washington long-term. I still like the pace of life there. The orchards, the river... I miss them. Now that my grandparent's home belongs to somebody else, there's not much for me to visit. If some day, somehow I bought that house back and lived there... well, I can think of worse things. But God can probably think of better. It's enough that I had that span of time at all.
